United, we say love is love. The United Church of Canada Foundation launched their new LGBTIQ2S+ Global Solidarity Fund in Fall 2021 to advance the rights, dignity, and inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer, and Two Spirit people around the world.
For such an important initiative, wishart worked with UCCF to announce the launch in an ambitious advertising campaign in multiple publications, both in digital and in print.
wishart’s work will help the UCCF support international consultations with religious leaders, provide vulnerable and victimized people with safe shelters, and sponsor LGBTQ+ refugees so that they can come to Canada.
From 2006 to 2009 and then since 2016, wishart has been blessed to be the agency of record for The United Church of Canada Foundation.
United, we are making a huge impact:
The UCCF awarded $8,674,622 in total grants last year including $3,148,414 to local congregations. At year-end, the Foundation had $81,680,750 in total assets, an increase of $5,915,174 over the year before. The depth and breadth of their work is incredible: the UCCF oversees over 500 endowed and restricted funds.
All of this is managed client-side by 3.5 people and we’re not much bigger. But we have big plans!
Spread from coast-to-coast-to-coast, the Foundation’s donors are more diverse and more diffuse. They’re more discerning. And because of the demands placed on them, their congregations and their communities, they’re necessarily more demanding.
This demands a digital-first approach that provides people with the information and tools they need 24-7. We’re working on it. Our aim is to finish faster and better than ever before.
